Artist Statement #2
This project was very difficult for me for some reason. The foley sounds were fun to find and add but I really struggled with adding my own voice to it. I felt like every time I tried to record something it either sounded weird or didn't really fit with what was happening in the clip. I honestly didn't expect that part to be as hard as it was. I chose to use Looney Tunes because I grew up watching it with my mom, and I thought it would be fun to work with something I already knew and loved. I also thought it would be easier since cartoons already have so many exaggerated sounds, but I think that made it harder in some ways.

I wanted to make the audio sound cartoony but not necessarily in the way you would expect. I tried using random sounds that didn't completely match what was happening on screen because I thought it would make the clip funnier. I liked being able to mess around with different sounds and see which ones worked together. I definitely spent way too much time second guessing myself, especially when it came to my voice. I think I was too focused on making everything sound good instead of just having fun with it. Overall, this wasn't my favorite project to work on, but I did like seeing how much you can change a scene just by changing the audio. It made me realize how much sound actually matters, especially in cartoons.
